TWISTR Line
The Twistr 2.0 line is designed with tighter coils and increased PDO content per thread compared to earlier configurations.
Its smooth screw design and sharp cannula offer structural versatility for soft tissue approximation in a variety of procedural contexts.
Available in multiple gauges and lengths, Twistr provides practitioners with a broad selection of formats to align with different techniques.
HYBRID Line
Mesh & Rhino Configurations
These hybrid models combine the structural characteristics of barbed threads with the design properties of braided or bidirectional formats.
Developed for versatility, they provide practitioners with additional configuration options to support soft tissue approximation across different procedural techniques.
HARPOON & All4PDO™ Line
The Harpoon line features molded bidirectional cogs and is available preloaded with L-Tip cannulas. This configuration is engineered to provide structural versatility for soft tissue approximation.
In addition, the All4PDO® format incorporates a molded multidirectional cog design with 360° rotational contact points, offering practitioners expanded configuration options.
Why Practitioners Choose Renovatio PDO Threads
✺ Frequently asked questions ✺
-
PDO (polydioxanone) threads are sterile, single-use, absorbable sutures composed of a polymer that has a long history of use in surgical environments for soft tissue approximation. These threads are designed to gradually absorb in the body over time through hydrolysis.
-
Yes. Renovatio PDO® Threads are FDA-cleared medical devices indicated for soft tissue approximation where the use of absorbable sutures is appropriate.
-
Threads are introduced into soft tissue using a needle or cannula. Once in place, the PDO material is naturally absorbed by the body through hydrolysis, typically within 6–9 months depending on the thread thickness. The compound degrades into smaller biocompatible byproducts and is fully eliminated through natural metabolic processes.
It degrades to monomeric 2-Hydroxyethoxy Acetic acid and it is eliminated through urine.
100% absorbable by the body
